April on Klein Matterhorn above Zermatt. A cablecar-full of skiers takes in some oxygen and gets ready for the long, magnificent and easy run down the glaciers. This is at 3883 m; Zermatt is at 1600 m and it's quite often possible to ski all the way down. The peak in the clouds is Gobba di Rollin, in Italy. I've never seen that tow running.
Gill and Rich on the rocky bays between Arisaig and Morar; a bit of hill (Ben Challum above Strathfillan) has all the quiet charm of ordinary places; the men of Caledonian Macbrayne.
